Research Specialist - UI Addiction and Recovery Collaborative - Department of Psychiatry
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in accountancy, public health, or related field and at least five years’ work experience related to research support activities.
Knowledge of frameworks and methods for program evaluation including experience with recruitment of research subjects, coordinating logistics of on-site and off-site activities, organizing data entry, and experience with evaluation reporting.
Experience creating financial budgets, monitoring expenses, and forecasting income and expenditures.
Ability to engage with, listen to, and learn from a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, encouraging their meaningful participation to identify relevant and actionable findings for evaluation.
Experience with preparation of grant proposals and grant submission mechanisms (e.g., Cayuse, eRA Commons).
Experience with literature searches related to evaluation projects.
Ability to create, maintain, and manage databases; construct data files; conduct and supervise data entry; and perform data edits/cleaning.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated experience working effectively with colleagues in a diverse environment, strong interpersonal skills.
Evidence of ability to function with a high degree of independence while actively collaborating in a team environment, handle multiple projects, and experience working in deadline-driven environments.
Experience collaborating with external departments.
Technical writing experience.
Desirable Qualifications
Demonstrated experience working with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality regarding protected information.
Background knowledge or experience with people who have a substance use or mental health disorder.
Strong contributor in team environments.
Demonstrated experience in working independently under time constraints and taking initiative to complete tasks.
Experience working with interdisciplinary teams.
