Research Support Coordinator/Research Support Specialist-Radiology
Education Required (Coordinator & Specialist)
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements
- One to three years administrative and/or accounting experience.
- One to three years of experience in federal (or comparable) grant policies, regulations, contract administration, grant administrative management, including grant submission processes and requirements, publication management software (e.g. EndNote), and administrative post-award reporting requirements.
- One to three years’ experience in grant fiscal management, including budget preparation, monitoring expenditures for appropriateness, and fiscal post-award reporting requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be proficient in computer software applications (Microsoft Office Suite-especially Excel).
- Coordinator: 6 months - 1 year of related administrative and program development experience.
Desirable Qualifications (Coordinator & Specialist)
- Knowledge of UI systems including CAYUSE, UIRIS, General Ledger, and Grant Decision Support.
- Knowledge of University of Iowa policies, procedures and regulations.
- Previous experience in working with clinical trial management.
- Knowledge of and experience with NIH grant processes and requirements.

The Department of Radiology will be filling this position at one of two levels. The Research Support Coordinator classification salary is 3A, and the Research Support Specialist classification salary is 4A.
