Research Support Manager
Education Required
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation capabilities.
Very detailed oriented with ability to complete work that requires high attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft computer programs, particularly Excel.
Demonstrated ability to provide high quality customer service in a deadline driven environment.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Highly desired to be proficient in electronic systems, such as Cayuse, Grants.gov, and eRACommons.
Experience preparing, submitting, and/or managing federal grants and contracts, with emphasis in large research, center, institute and/or training grant proposals.
Member of NCURA, NORDP, and/or SRAInternational.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams.
Working knowledge of university policies, procedures, and regulations.
Experience working with the University of Iowa Research Tracker and university financial reports.
