Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in a core liberal arts and sciences discipline, a master’s degree in education; or a relevant combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as demonstrated at a working proficiency level.
  • Evidence of experience requiring organizational skills as well as attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft computer programs, particularly Excel.

Desirable Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience, especially working with federal sponsors.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality customer service in a deadline driven environment.
  • Experience working with agency electronic systems such as Grants.gov, eRA Commons, and Research.gov.
  • Experience preparing and submitting federal, state, and/or private grants and contracts.
  • Experience working with the University of Iowa Research Information System (UIRIS) and Electronic Financial Reports (EFR).

Salary range: $55,000 to commensurate
