Respiratory Care Supervisor - University Campus

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or health-related science or an equivalent combination of related education and experience is required.
• Possess a current State of Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Considerable (3-5 years) experience in Respiratory Care within a tertiary care setting is required, along with experience in neonatal/pediatric care.
• Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care as well as possess and maintain active membership in the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Possess a current CPR certification card. ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• At least 2-4 years of recent senior/supervisory experience in a large academic teaching hospital.
• Experience in developing/maintaining a staff competency program in an academic teaching hospital.
• Demonstrates proficiency in leadership skills such as: mentoring and counseling staff, writing and delivering performance reviews, developing and directing staff meetings.
