Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Health Administration or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of and ability to manage the major activities of the patient revenue/billing functions, including:
  • Patient financial counseling;
  • Third party pre-authorization;
  • Establishing payment plans;
  • Managing delinquencies and collection process; and
  • Understands basic principles, techniques and terminology of claims processing and reimbursement.
  • Claims submission including CPT/CDT codes.
  • Excellent time management techniques, demonstrating the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Proficient in data entry/translation with proven attention to detail resulting in minimal errors.
  • Demonstrated excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience with electronic health record;
  • Electronic claims submission, ideally w/AxiUm and/or Epic;
  • Experience with confidential information/record keeping; and
  • Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and regulations.
