RN Clinic Manager Oral Surgery

Education Requirements

Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field.  If Master’s Degree is in related field, Baccalaureate in Nursing is required.

If qualified applicant does not have Master’s Degree in Nursing, the applicant will need to complete an advanced degree in nursing, health care administration, or business administration within five years of beginning this position.

Current license to practice nursing in Iowa

Experience Requirements 

·       At least 3-5 years of comprehensive progressive healthcare leadership/administrative experience

·       Demonstrated skill in leadership/management and experience in clinical practice of nursing

·       Experience with unit/clinic operations including human resources, financial management, and compliance with regulatory environment with various federal and state agencies and the Joint Commission

·       Demonstrated ability to lead change

·       Must be proficient in computer software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence

·       Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment

Desired Qualifications 

·       Previous clinic and/or procedure suite management experience

·       Previous experience in an academic medical center

·       Previous experience in the administration and management of clinical settings

·       Demonstrated results in improving patient satisfaction levels

·       Demonstrated results in improving clinical operations

·       Experience managing in a matrix reporting and unionized environment

·       Certification in a role or specialty through a nationally recognized professional nursing certification body

·       Commitment to inventory/maintenance of instruments, digital equipment, power devices (handpieces), burs, radiology equipment, dental implant equipment and operatory inventory/stock.

·       Experience managing large number of daily add-ons appointments/cases to schedule in addition to scheduled appointments/cases

·       Previous experience managing/providing procedural sedation including general anesthetics (non-intubated, ambulatory).
