Senior Occupational Therapist
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy is required.
Licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Iowa Board of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners by the time of hire.
Successful completion of National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Registered.
Current AOTA certification is required.
Reasonable (1-3) years of experience in Occupational Therapy with a high degree of understanding and skill in one or more areas of assigned responsibility.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Desired Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
Experience in rehabilitation, evaluation and treatment of pediatric patients with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
Experience in assistive technology evaluation is highly desirable.
Experience in wheelchair seating evaluation is highly desirable.
Ability to solve both operational and clinical problems.
Experience with program development utilizing evidence-based practice assessment/interventions.
Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary medical team.
Experience using an electronic medical record.
