SIM-IA Program Director - College of Nursing
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited paramedic program, accredited school of nursing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Eligible for certification and/or licensure to practice in Iowa.
- Documented clinical proficiency in emergency medical services, or nursing, or related field.
- Demonstrated working level of proficiency (typically 1- 3 years’ experience) in Educational/Instructional Program Management including development, planning, implementation/coordination, and evaluation.
- Demonstrated working level of proficiency in public speaking, technical writing and/or teaching.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication techniques and relationship building skills that develop the ability to clearly communicate and work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Extensive experience and proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, course management software such as Desire-to-Learn or UI ICON, internet search engines, and web-based software.
- Demonstrated ability to interact positively with a diverse population.
- Valid Drivers license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety Standards.
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree preferred.
- Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE-A preferred).
- Experience in healthcare simulation.
- Valid CDL license or ability to acquire.
