Staff Therapist - College of Business
Requirements
Doctoral degree in either Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA-Accredited program or Master’s degree in social work with clinical focus from a CSWE-Accredited program, or Master’s degree in counseling from a CACREP-Accredited Program.
Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor: Licensed as an LISW or LMHC in the State of Iowa by date of hire.
Psychologist: Possession of a valid State of Iowa license as a psychologist within 18 months of hire.
License must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Extensive knowledge of evidence and theory based mental health counseling in assessment, crisis, individual, and group with a university/college student population
Extensive ability to assess, manage, and ensure high quality mental health counseling and crisis management
Extensive proficiency in planning and delivering outreach programs and consultation services on a university campus.
Working knowledge of providing supervision to trainees.
Expert proficiency in the application of communication techniques and relationship building skills that develop the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Desired Skills
Experience working with students in a business college or program.
Interest and experience in being entrepreneurial in the continual creation of new service systems.
