POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical theatre or stage management or equivalent combination of related education and experience is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Some (6 months-1 year) experience in production and/or presentation of a variety of performances—including theatre, dance, musicals or opera, and concerts (classical and contemporary)—is required.
- Experience (6 months-1 year) managing the activities of stagehands.
- Experience managing events in a variety of spaces.
- Demonstrates an EXTENSIVE proficiency level in written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work a completely flexible work schedule to accommodate performances which are presented primarily evenings and weekends.
Desired:
- Demonstrates a WORKING proficiency level in:
- At least 3 years as a licensed driver in order to drive University vehicles.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Experience coordination artist hospitality and transportation
- Experience working with touring productions and profession stage unions.

Work Modality: This position is primarily on-campus and may be eligible for some flexibility and remote work (i.e., events, ad hoc) in alignment with dept policies and practices. Remote work must be performed at a location within the state of Iowa and comply with the remote work program and related policies.
Compensation: $45,000-$54,000 anticipated starting annual salary. Salary will be discussed at time of interviews.
