Required Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.
  • Computer proficiency in statistical software program SAS and SAS/STAT, ability to program simulations and the ability to learn other statistical software and programming languages is required (e.g., R-software, STATA).
  • Experience (1-3 years) in health/biomedical statistical analysis and research design.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to all audiences is required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.  Able to organize workflow and manage and track time effectively.  Ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time is required.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Familiarity with big data concepts and analytics is desirable.
  • Database experience (SQL, MySSQL, Access, Redcap) is desirable.
  • Experience in collaborative biomedical or clinical research and the application of biostatistics to such research and participating in the writing of scientific publications is desirable. 
  • Development of statistical analysis plans is desirable.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy of statistical analyses and calculations is desirable.
  • Collaboration and Embracing Diversity:  Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and civil manner while appreciating the unique contribution of individuals from varied cultures, race, creed, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
