Strategy Consultant
Required:
- Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or related degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 1-3 years of work experience in Health Care Management or Administration
- Comprehensive knowledge of complex health care systems including state and federal policy and statutory framework required
- Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity required
- Excellent interpersonal as well as written / verbal communication skills required
- Experience structuring and delivering strategic and financial analysis required
- Proficiency in common software applications required (i.e., MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word)
Desired:
- Be able to adapt quickly to changing demands and feel comfortable performing amidst complex and ambiguous tasks
- Knowledge of academic medical center organization structure and operations
- Knowledge of University of Iowa Health Care policies and procedures
- Proven success in problem-solving, instilling accountability, and driving results in teams
- Understanding of key strategic and operational metrics as well as common benchmarks
- General understanding of the Electronic Health Record and familiarity with EPIC
- Experience and/or certifications for common analytical platforms (e.g., Tableau)
- Reliable and dependable individual with strong consensus-building skills and a track record of successfully partnering with diverse constituencies
