Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with coursework in business, marketing, natural or physical sciences, or the equivalent combination of related education and experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with computerized inventory management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and organizational skills within a team-based organization.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a highly diverse working environment.
- Dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
- Ability to move and transport items up to 30 pounds regularly and 60 pounds occasionally.
Desired Qualifications
- Reasonable (1-3 years) functional supervisory experience.
- Reasonable (1-3 years) customer service experience.
- Some (6 months – 1 year) scientific stockroom experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with University of Iowa PeopleSoft Inventory customizations.
- Experience with hazardous material storage, management, and spill cleanup.
