Support Services Specialist - Dental Patient Business Office
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
· High level, fast-paced customer service experience in a financial, health care, or other relevant environment including:
o Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
o Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
o Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, calendaring, and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft or Google).
o Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and handle difficult and complex situations.
o Demonstrated active listening skills.
o Experience utilizing conflict management/resolution skills and de-escalation techniques.
o Demonstrated ability to facilitate positive outcomes by collaborating and working in a team environment.
Desirable:
- · Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- · Knowledge of healthcare billing and revenue cycle.
- · Awareness of evolving insurance industry submission trends/changes.
- · Experience utilizing electronic health records.
- · Knowledge of dental/medical terminology.
