Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in higher education, business, liberal arts or similar field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible and demonstrated leadership experience in the successful management and administration of a comprehensive registrar’s office as Registrar, Senior Associate Registrar or equivalent in a college or university registrar unit.
  • Experience investigating, applying, and enforcing national, federal, and state policies (including FERPA).
  • Experience in budget preparations, expenditure monitoring, and directing funding priorities.
  • Experience in strategic planning for a unit that serves as a conduit to the larger university’s instructional strategic plan.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively and strategically with others to support consistent communication.
  • Experience in advocating for staff needs, departmental interests, resource allocation, and vended product solutions.

 

Competencies Required:

  • Demonstrates an Expert proficiency level in the following competencies:
    • Professional job-related experience fostering or promoting a welcoming and respectful work/academic environment where people of all backgrounds and perspectives feel welcomed and appreciated; or demonstrated the ability to do so.
    • Willingness to and/or experience with participating in professional growth and development opportunities including state, regional, and national professional associations.
    • Knowledge of contemporary challenges and developments in higher education administration.

Work Modality: This position is eligible for hybrid work within Iowa and will require a work arrangement form to be completed upon the start of your employment. Per policy, work arrangements will be reviewed annually, and must comply with the remote work program and related policies and employee travel policy when working at a remote location.
