​Director of Finance and Budget Operations

Education Requirement:

• Master’s degree in business administration or related area or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Comprehensive (typically 7-10 years) relevant experience including accounting, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting.    
• Experience managing complex financial information requiring strong attention to detail. 
• Ability to form and manage effective teams. 
• Professional experience in fostering or promoting a welcoming and respectful working environment where people of all backgrounds and perspectives feel welcomed. 

Desired Qualifications: 

• Relevant experience managing multiple funding sources (i.e. state, research, foundation). 
• Knowledge of University of Iowa financial accounting systems, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
