Accountant
Qualifications:
Education or Equivalency Required
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration of Accounting or related field or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
Required Qualifications
· Basic level of accrual basis accounting experience.
· Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills, and ability to interact positively with all.
· Ability to perform tasks that require accuracy, attention to detail, including accurate record keeping.
· Demonstrate high Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Desirable Qualifications
· Experience with QuickBooks Online.
· Ability to work independently.
· Ability to exercise judgment with confidential matters.
· 1-3 years of experience using University of Iowa policies, procedures and regulations.
· Knowledge of patent prosecution, royalty distribution calculations, or experience with the technology transfer process.
· Knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to apply them appropriately within the organization.
