Qualifications:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Student Development, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Working full time experience (typically 3 years or more) in housing administration or managerial experience in cultural, educational, and development program planning in a college or university environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience (typically 1-3 years) including experience supervising student and/or secretarial staff.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the values of social justice, inclusion, and equity. Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, in working with diverse populations of students and staff.
  • Strong record of building teams and partnerships with colleagues and key campus stakeholder groups.
  • Reasonable management experience in living learning communities with an emphasis in administration and academic initiatives in a college or University environment.
  • Exceptional administrative skills, including a proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to establish priorities, accomplish goals and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including experience analyzing and resolving conflict, successfully navigating group dynamics, and effectively building teams.
  • Experience serving in an on-call duty rotation at the collegiate level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, public speaking, and organizational skills.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with tenure-track faculty or other campus partners in the facilitation of student success programs.
  • Experience working with residential curriculum models.
  • Experience supervising professional live-in staff or graduate students.
