Required Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience as a NCAA DI Golf Coach and/or combination of Professional Golf Experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as demonstrated through public speaking engagements, clinician experience, and/or use of effective and creative training/coaching techniques.
  • Proven experience organizing and operating junior golf camps or clinics.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to:
    • Utilize basic office support software (word processing, email, presentation software and spreadsheets) 
    • Operate effectively within a highly regulated team environment.
  • Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships; 
  • A valid U.S. driving license and the ability to meet The University of Iowa Fleet Safety Program driving standards. 

Desired Qualifications:

  • NCAA Division I playing AND coaching experience highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in domestic talent assessment and ability to recruit elite level student-athletes. 
  • Competitive professional golf experience is highly preferred. 
  • Genuine passion for and experience with supporting the holistic development of student-athletes, recognizing the interconnectedness of mental health and overall well-being;
  • Proficiency in setup, maintenance, and analyzing data with Trackman radar (indoor and outdoor) and Puttview technology.  
  • Proven experience working with supporter groups including donors and alumni.
