POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrates experience (typically 6 months-1 year) and a working level of ability to carry out ongoing office administration tasks effectively and efficiently in support of individuals, teams, and/or units, including proficiency with computer software applications.
  • Demonstrates experience (typically 6 months-1 year) and a working knowledge of, and ability to apply, policies and practices for planning and administering a budget, grant administration, and/or Center for Advancement funds. 
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of and application of the effective communication techniques and relationship building skills required to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Demonstrates the ability to make decisions and exercise a moderate level of autonomy while performing administrative support responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to excellence through diversity, equity, and inclusion.

 

 Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures, including financial and human resources policies; and experience with University electronic systems including HRIS, MAUI and Workflow processes.
  • Experience working in an academic department.
  • Experience assisting a senior level leader such as dean, director, department executive officer, or vice president.
