Clerk III - Burn Clinic - 50% Days - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Burn/Wound Clinic (8 JCP)
The Burn and Wound Clinic provides outpatient services to pediatric and adult patients with burn injuries. Outpatient services continue to care for the physical and emotional needs of our patients following their inpatient discharge. We are verified by the American Burn Association and the American College of Surgeons as a comprehensive burn center. We also serve a wound patient population that encompasses Necrotizing fascitis and Hidradenitis Suppurativa, both pre- and post-operative following debridement and skin grafting procedures.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Examines, checks and verifies documents such as reports, purchase orders, payrolls, checks and vouchers for completeness and accuracy, and maintains appropriate files; determines conformity to established guidelines, and personally follows up on discrepancies
Reviews inquiries and provides information regarding policies and procedures requiring knowledge of both assigned and related work areas
Assigns, coordinates and reviews the work of other clerical personnel for conformance to established guidelines
Composes correspondence in response to inquiries without instruction or review
Initiates standardized forms related to area of assignment
Codes, tabulates and assembles fiscal, statistical and related data including standard forms, correspondence and records
Makes routine arithmetic computations
Gathers, collates, classifies and posts information according to established guidelines and requiring independent judgment in the selection of materials
Greets and assists the public, patients, students, faculty and staff providing information relative to the area of assignment according to established guidelines
Types information on cards and standard forms as required, where accuracy rather than speed is essential
Transports patients
Performs other projects or tasks as assigned
Incorporates the principles of Service Leadership to ensure positive patient/customer relations
Adheres to UI Health Care policies regarding personal conduct, including follows established leadership, remaining responsive to instruction and coaching from supervisors and meeting the standards of personal appearance, attendance and punctuality
Percent of time: 50%
Schedule: Day shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. No weekends or holidays required.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Any combination of related clerical office experience related undergraduate education, and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to two years of full-time employment.
