Education Requirement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Informatics, or equivalent field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Required
  • One or more years of data modeling and database schema experience.
  • Knowledge of current academic publishing issues and trends.
  • Experience with statistical methods and tools for data analysis.
  • Experience using APIs to retrieve and parse data.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Python, R and RStudio, Tableau, etc.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Project management, facilitation, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Highly developed problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity in the workplace or community.

Desirable Qualifications
  • ALA accredited Master’s degree in Library and Information science and demonstrated interest in professional development.
  • One to three years of experience working in an academic library or higher education setting.
  • Familiarity with the Analytics module and reporting functions in ALMA or a similar library systems platform.
  • Familiarity with publication data sources such as Web of Science, InCites, Dimensions, Scopus, SciVal, and/or Pure.
