Data Scientist
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a STEM or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
· Experience (typically 5-7 years) of progressively responsible data analytics experience
· Experience defining institutional data and analytics vision, strategies, and roadmaps.
· Demonstrated skill in the design, delivery, and maintenance of data analytics solutions.
· Experience in requirements gathering, data gap assessments, and project management.
· Experience collaborating, facilitating, and providing leadership across diverse teams of data professionals.
· Deep understanding of SQL, data modeling, relational databases, and data warehouse principles
· Strong visualization skills and experience with BI (e.g. SSRS, Power BI, or Tableau) and ETL tools such as SQL Server Integration Services.
· Proven intellectual curiosity, creativity, agility, initiative, and professional judgment.
· Exceptional interpersonal skills, including communication, collaboration, teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.
· Demonstrated commitment to promoting a diverse environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
· Familiarity with Higher Education and associates administrative/academic processes and data.
· Strong background in statistics, data science, or machine learning.
· Well-versed in data governance practices, processes, and implementation.
· Experience with cloud databases and analytics tools.
· Experience evaluating new and emerging technologies and their potential applications at an enterprise level.
