Position Qualifications

Required

• Master’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, analytical chemistry, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• At least two years of relevant experience with using, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment and instrumentation utilized in Environmental Engineering and Science Program research is required.
• Three to five years’ experience using Environmental Engineering and Science Program research methodologies, tools, and techniques is required.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations concerning the operation of research laboratories is required.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence through diversity, equity, and inclusion is required. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills is required.

Desired

• Ph.D. degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, analytical chemistry, or related field is desirable.
• Experience with gas, liquid, or ion chromatography and/or mass spectrometry is desirable.
