Qualifications:

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Experience (typically 6 months or more) of professional or graduate assistant work in college or university recreation facility or program management, or comparable community recreation experience.
  • Basic ability to apply an organization’s performance management system, practices, and tools to develop and improve individual performance.
  • Commitment to and alignment with the values of the Division of Student Life, including a demonstrated commitment to excellence through anti-oppression, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to creatively and effectively resolve conflicts or complaints.
  • Working experience with standard office computer applications, including Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Current CPR, AED, First-Aid Certification, or the ability to obtain within one month of hire.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Physical Education, Recreation Administration, Sports Management or related field.
  • 6 months or more of supervisory experience including supervising students in a college or university setting.
  • 6 months or more of supervisory experience over staff using recreational management software.
