Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Trainer & Fidelity Reviewer (Remote)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field (social services, education, health field, psychology, public health or related human services field), or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Must have already completed or be willing to complete the IPS Employment Center’s training to become an IPS trainer upon hire
- Ability to travel extensively within the State of Iowa within an assigned service region including occasional overnight travel
- Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills with a variety of audiences. Comfortable using Microsoft Office suite of computer applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), and remote conference applications (such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Go To Meeting.)
- Experience coordinating activities
- Experience working with community-based mental health and/or substance use treatment programs or in IVRS programs
- Ability to work independently and within a team and with a variety of stakeholders
- Foster and promote the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Demonstrate a belief that employment is a most beneficial recovery intervention for persons with mental illness
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience providing IPS services or supervising an IPS team
- Lived experience of mental illness is desirable, or a family member of a person with lived experience
- Certified Employment Specialist or at least 5 years’ experience providing supported employment
- Previous supervisory experience is valued
- Training or teaching experience is desired
- Knowledge about state/regional human services delivery is valued
- Ability to grasp complex issues and work for solutions is desired
- Ability to work with minimal direction and coaching, but able to ask for help, when necessary, is valued
