Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or MIS or an equivalent combination of education and related healthcare technology experience.

Experience Requirements

  •        Experience (typically 7+ years) defining, planning, and guiding the installation of mission-critical healthcare IT services involving multi-disciplinary teams in a large academic medical center environment with considerable (3-5 years) administrative and management experience including staff management activities.
  •        Extensive knowledge of technology spaces, including hardware, networking, storage systems, security, application, and server/client services.
  •        Extensive knowledge of technology trends and demonstrated experience applying innovative technology solutions to business and healthcare problems.
  •        Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  •        Experience creating and leading a customer service-oriented team and developing initiatives to drive collaborative and service-oriented skills throughout organization.
  • Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.

Desired Qualifications

  •          Experience with change management.
  •          Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, ITIL and/or LEAN.
  •          Experience with Project Management.
  •          Experience in the development of standards and policies across functional specialties.
  •          Experience with analysis, planning, estimating, and scheduling of high-risk, high-impact IT projects.
  •          Experience with all aspects of talent management and professional development techniques.
