IT Support Consultant - Inventory
Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT-related field or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Experience Requirements
- Experience, typically 1-3 years, in technology and/or business process analysis and solution design in a Technical Product Support or Customer Service Center including service recovery.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365 Suite.
- Experience working with computer hardware.
- Experience with inventory and asset management in a business environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to move computer equipment.
- Driver’s license required and must meet the University of Iowa Fleet Services Program rules and regulations.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to operate a motorized pallet jack and forklift.
- Certified in or familiarity with the ITIL Framework.
- Experience using an IT Service Management Tool (ServiceNow, Cherwell, etc.)
- Familiarity with current and upcoming IT hardware & software.
- Experience supporting workstations running macOS.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Strong customer service focus.
