Education Required:

  • Master’s degree in student development administration, higher education administration, student affairs, counseling, educational psychology, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of oral and written communication techniques and relationship building skills and the ability to clearly communicate and work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Minimum of three years of demonstrated experience in working with undergraduate student learning or student success.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, strong organizational skills, and accurate record keeping.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use office support tools available on the desktop (e.g., word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheets); ability to learn new web development software and other software as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high quality customer service in a deadline driven environment.
  • Familiarity with academic program assessment/evaluation and quantitative methods.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based literature on learning and student success in higher education.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • 1-3 years’ experience leading/supporting improvement efforts related to student success, particularly as it relates to first-generation and/or underrepresented students, students from low-income backgrounds, and/or students from under-resourced K-12 school systems
  • Experience advising undergraduate students.
