Manager of Reimbursement

Required

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• Four (4) years of relevant healthcare accounting experience in hospital reimbursement.
• 5-7 years accounting, auditing, cost accounting, budget and/or financial analysis experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer software applications

Desired

• CPA, MHA or MBA is preferred
• Experience in an academic setting 
• Knowledge of physician reimbursement is preferred
• experience with Epic patient accounting system and Health Financial Systems (HFS) cost report software
• Medicare Disproportionate Share (DSH), Graduate Medical Education (GME) and Organ Acquisition reimbursement experience
• Experience with Medicaid Hospital-Specific Limit (HSL) and Upper Payment Limit (UPL) calculations and with Medicaid DSH and GME reimbursement.
• Experience with HFS software and Epic patient accounting system
• Knowledge of University of Iowa Health Care policies and procedures
