Manager of Reimbursement
Required
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Four (4) years of relevant healthcare accounting experience in hospital reimbursement.
- 5-7 years accounting, auditing, cost accounting, budget and/or financial analysis experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer software applications
Desired
- CPA, MHA or MBA is preferred
- Experience in an academic setting
- Knowledge of physician reimbursement is preferred
- experience with Epic patient accounting system and Health Financial Systems (HFS) cost report software
- Medicare Disproportionate Share (DSH), Graduate Medical Education (GME) and Organ Acquisition reimbursement experience
- Experience with Medicaid Hospital-Specific Limit (HSL) and Upper Payment Limit (UPL) calculations and with Medicaid DSH and GME reimbursement.
- Experience with HFS software and Epic patient accounting system
- Knowledge of University of Iowa Health Care policies and procedures
