Online Course Management Specialist, Magid Center for Writing
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications:
- 6-12 months working with CANVAS or a similar online learning management software – such as Blackboard, Blackboard Collaborate, Adobe Connect, MOODLE – or related experience.
- Demonstrated competency in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Outlook Calendar, Word, and Excel) and in videoconferencing software (e.g., Zoom).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Careful attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and effectively, proactively establish priorities and meet deadlines, and solve problems independently and creatively.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting curriculum delivery, simulation, and academic assessment in a university setting.
- Experience leading teams, working collaboratively, and supervising volunteers, interns, and/or student workers
- Interest in or engagement with the literary arts today, i.e., the teaching, learning, and/or practice of creative writing across genres and beyond borders.
