The School of Social work is searching for a Program and Admissions Manager to join their team. This individual will support the Director, Administrator, Faculty Program Directors and Certificate Coordinators with developing, interpreting and implementing School, CLAS and Graduate College, and CSWE educational policies and procedures. Provide administrative support for planning and delivery of the School’s programs, for student retention and success and alumni services. 

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Operational Support and Management

  • Coordinate and manage work processes/ administrative procedures and policies to increase efficient and effective operations of the Admission and Programing unit of the School of Social Work.
  • Make high-level independent decisions regarding operational activities.
  • Assist with assuring compliance with various policies or procedures of the School’s accreditation body, College and the University.

Recruit, Admit and Retain Prospective and Current Students for Programs, Major Departments or Colleges

  • Advise current MSW students regarding registration, course selections, graduation requirements, and post-graduation plans.
  • Act upon non-routine exceptions.
  • Manage scholarships.

Enrollment Management 

  • Participate in designing projects or processes to increase program value.
  • Plan, implement and assess program and activities.

Academic Standards and Curricular Policies

  • Administer program policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate individual requests for exceptions to curricular requirements based on established criteria.
  • Identify recurring problems that may require further study.

Academic Program Management (Planning, Designing, Integrating, and Evaluating Curriculum)

  • Engage in curricular development and administrative oversight to an academic program.
  • May include planning, designing, integrating and evaluating curriculum.
  • Oversee planning of program events.

Education Requirement 

  • MSW degree from a CSWE accredited institution.

Required Qualifications

  • Two years post-MSW social work experience minimum.
  • Demonstrated experience in program and/or project development, coordination, or management.
  • Experience in interpreting and applying policy and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks adhering to deadlines 
  • Working experience and knowledge of Office Suite (Word, EXCEL, etc.).
  • Experience in data entry, management, and reporting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Current license at the Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) level.
  • Knowledge of Council of Social Work Education’s (CSWE) standards.
