Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a basic science or healthcare-related field from an accredited college or university with specialized training in laboratory medicine, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of laboratory, supervisory, or quality program experience is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with effective leadership skills is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, to meet deadlines efficiently, to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and to be highly self-motivated is required.

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or National Certification Agency (NCA) is highly desirable.
  • Greater than 3 year of laboratory or quality program experience is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and knowledge of the AABB, FDA, CAP, CMS, FACT, and/or TJC regulations is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and knowledge of the CMS/CAP proficiency testing requirements is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform statistical trend analysis is desired.
  • Experience in teaching and training is desired.
  • Certification as a Quality/Lead Auditor by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) or the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is desired.
  • Reasonable experience with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) compliance program initiatives is desired.
