Research Assistant (50-80%)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understanding of clinical workflows in inpatient and nursing home environments
- Understanding of nursing care
- Experience with electronic health records
- Confidence in recruiting and interacting with nursing staff in clinical settings
- Confidence working with persons living with dementia and family caregivers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
- Skill in setting priorities and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to anticipate needs, problems, and potential issues
- Use of judgment, foresight, and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and suggest solutions
- Valid driving license and ability to meet and maintain UI Fleet Safety Program driving standards
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience as a healthcare provider (such as RN, LPN, CNA, MA)
- Knowledge of UI Healthcare policies, procedures, regulations, and guidelines
- Experience with EPIC
- Experience with REDCap
- Knowledge of dementia care
- Experience in clinical research, particularly in protocol management
- Experience screening, recruiting, enrolling, and obtaining informed consent from research subjects
- Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and procedures, including IRB guidelines
- Experience processing expense reimbursements and compensation
