Research Specialist
Required Qualifications
- Requires a master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in epidemiology or human health science or basic science.
- 3 years of research project management experience, including experience with supervising/managing research staff.
- Demonstrated laboratory experience in molecular biology, genetics, or other basic science.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking experience.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently.
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office software suite.
Highly Desirable Qualifications
- A background in epidemiologic research.
- Experience with development and submission of IRB applications.
- Experience preparing manuscripts and documents of a technical and scientific nature.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and/or PowerPoint.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience conducting statistical data analysis, including using SAS.
- Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and regulations.
