Research Specialist-Radiology
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in radiology, neuroscience, engineering, or related field. Masters, PhD, or MD with PET experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a research setting
- Experience analyzing PET Data
- Ability to do independent online library searches.
- Knowledge and ability to locate, interpret and evaluate research findings.
- Knowledge and ability to utilize tools and techniques for producing well written, meaningful and usable documentation of research findings.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to work independently with self motivation to complete the tasks at hand.
- Must be proficient in computer software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
The Research Associate, requisition # 22005583 requires a bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous scientific writing, including manuscripts and grant preparation.
- Computer programming skills using at least one of the following three programming environments (Python/Matlab/R).
- Experience with MRI data collection/analysis/safety.
- Demonstrated ability for successful research collaborations.
- Knowledge of University of Iowa Policies and Procedures.

The Department of Radiology will be filling this position at one of two levels. The Research Associate classification salary is 4A, and the Reserch Specialist classification salary is 5A.
