Scientific Programmer - Psychological and Brain Sciences
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in cognitive science, neuroscience, computer science, or equivalent education and relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience using Unix shell scripting and Python to accomplish scientific computing tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to use shared code repositories with version control.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly document code.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in cognitive psychology, cognitive science, neuroimaging, human cognitive neuroscience, or bioinformatics. This can be demonstrated though through prior coursework, relevant research experience, work experience in related fields, and/or interest in pursuing advanced research or graduate training in psychology, neuroimaging, computational sciences, or bioengineering.
Desired Qualifications:
- One year of prior research experience. Preferably in cognitive psychology, biology, neuroimaging, or neuroscience.
- Experience with neuroimaging data analyses, including MRI.
- Experience with high-performance computational cluster.
- Experience in teaching computer programming.
