Senior Application Developer-Epic Care Clinical Documentation Nurse Triage and CRM

Position Qualifications:

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related application development/support experience

Required Qualifications

•    Experience in the development and/or support of applications used by non-technical customers to support and enhance business processes, typically 5-7 years for Senior Developer in leadership roles including experience with programming tools and a comprehensive understanding of database technologies (e.g., Caché, SQL Server)
•    Experience acting as the primary contact for the support, configuration and development of at least one healthcare enterprise application or area of functionality
•    Experience working with application owners and/or vendors to define system requirements, integration requirements and understand business needs
•    Demonstrated ability working with end-users to define system requirements, understand business needs and convert business requirements into functional/technical specifications for complex integrated systems build
•    Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with basic project management
•    Demonstrated ability communicating technical information effectively to technical and non-technical staff at the verbal, written and presentation levels
•    Demonstrated job-related experience and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment

Desirable Qualifications: 

•    Experience with any of the following workflows: ambulatory/inpatient nursing or physician documentation, discharge follow-up, customer relationship management, clinical nurse triage
•    Experience supporting an EHR in an ambulatory or hospital setting
•    Epic certification related but not limited to the following:  Nurse Triage, CRM, EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, Epic Clinical Tools, SmartForms
•    Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical staff on system implementation projects
•    Strong problem-solving skills and experience adhering to regulatory requirements in developing clinical documentation tools
•    Proven ability to write application test scripts
•    Experience working with multimedia objects in database management systems (Blobs)
