Senior Systems Administrator, Unified Communications
• Demonstrated proficiency with installation, configuration and administration of Microsoft Exchange 2016, Microsoft Exchange Online or other e-mail messaging system, and Microsoft Outlook 2016/365 (or other e-mail clients) configuration and administration.
• Experience with Skype for Business 2019, Cisco Jabber, or other instant messaging software, Skype for Business 2019, Cisco WebEx, Zoom, or other online meeting software and Skype for Business 2019 Auto Attendant, Cisco Contact Center, or other ACD software solutions.
• Adept with email security including, but not limited to: DMARC, sender base reputation filtering, anti-spam filtering, anti-virus filtering, advanced malware protection, content filtering, spam quarantine, email encryption, and message encryption via secure SMTP over transport layer security.
• Knowledge of networking infrastructures, including LAN, WAN, VPN, etc. and their relation to unified communications design and performance.
• Experience with configuring, troubleshooting and managing systems and servers
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in team environments with a strong focus on customer service and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical staff
Desired Qualifications
• Technically fluent in server hardware and Windows Server administration
• Familiar with mobile messaging technologies such as Good Mobile or Microsoft ActiveSync.
• Knowledge of unified communication protocols (SIP, RTV, WebRTC, H.264, and H.323) and understand the impact of QoS in the unified communication ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with one or more hypervisor technologies.
• Experience configuring, troubleshooting and managing an eFax environment including, but not limited to: supporting features such as fax to e-mail, fax to print, fax to file share, e-mail to fax; integration with an EMR or similar applications; and troubleshooting server issues like dialing rules, SMTP gateway issues, etc.
