Education Requirement:
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

Required Qualifications:
• Experience (typically a minimum of 6 months) researching, exploring, and solving technical problems;
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community;
• Experience providing technical support in a research environment;
• Experience supporting multiuser High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments;
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical staff;
• Experience working with Linux/Unix;
• Experience with one or more programming languages;
• Experience working with Sun Grid Engine (SGE) resources;
• Experience supporting technology in a higher education setting;
• This position is restricted to U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents, due to federal government restrictions on the use of export-controlled software and equipment.

Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with Puppet/Configuration Management;
• Experience troubleshooting hardware in HPC environments;
• Experience supporting graphics accelerator technology such as Nvidia P100, K80, 1080ti, 2080ti in an HPC setting;
• Strong interest in continuously learning and applying new ideas to innovative services and technologies.
