Position Qualifications:


Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and related application development/support experience

Experience Requirements

Some current experience, typically 3-5 years, in the development and/or support of applications used by non-technical customers to support and enhance healthcare workflow processes

Experience contributing to the support, configuration and development of at least one Epic-specific healthcare enterprise application

Experience working with application owners and/or vendors to analyze system and integration requirements

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with basic project management

A valid driver’s license and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety requirements.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical staff; and

Demonstrated job-related experience and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment 

Desirable Qualifications

Experience supporting an EHR in a rural ambulatory or hospital setting

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with any of the following workflows: ambulatory or inpatient clinical documentation; emergency department or ancillary services such as social work, respiratory therapy or rehabilitation services.

Epic certification(s) related but not limited to the following:  EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, EpicCare Procedure Orders, Epic ASAP.

Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical staff on system implementation projects

Proven ability to write application test scripts

Experience troubleshooting HL7 interfaces
