REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or MIS, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 year of experience designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data-driven web applications in a professional, academic, or health care environment
  • Working experience with Drupal or other CMS platforms
  • Working experience with web development programming languages (including JavaScript) and frameworks
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills, including the ability to effectively communicate highly technical concepts to all audiences and to demonstrate receptivity to constructive feedback from content developers, editors, and leadership staff
  • Knowledge of best practices for web accessibility for individuals with disabilities

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with MySQL
  • Experience with PHP and jQuery
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL including knowledge of database modeling and principles of database design
  • Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system
  • Knowledge of University of Iowa policies and procedures
