Qualifications:

Associate Network Engineer

Required Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

·       Some experience (typically 3-6 months or more) working with network systems, including installation, maintenance, and/or ongoing support. 

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

·       Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster strong working relationships within and outside the organization.

·       Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team.

·       Strong technical troubleshooting aptitude.

·       Valid US driver’s license with the ability to meet the University of Iowa’s Fleet Safety Requirements: https://opsmanual.uiowa.edu/administrative-financial-and-facilities-policies/risk-management-insurance-and-loss-prevention-5

Desirable Qualifications:

·       Experience working on complex projects and initiatives with cross-functional teams. 

·       Experience working with enterprise-level network systems. 

·       Knowledge of and/or experience with Cisco products and services. 

·       Knowledge of and/or experience with Aruba wireless access points and controllers. 

·       Knowledge of and/or experience with Juniper networking hardware. 

·       Knowledge of and/or experience with network monitoring and alerting systems. 

·       Demonstrated technical and architectural knowledge related to network systems. 

Network Engineer

·       Experience (typically 1 year or more) working with enterprise network systems, including installation, maintenance, and/or ongoing support.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster strong working relationships within and outside the organization.

·       Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team.

·       Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
