Education Requirement:
A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM), or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

Required Qualifications:
• Experience (typically 2-4 years) supporting and managing multiple systems and applications
• Experience working with Unix/Linux supporting server-based applications
• Experience with common IT security practices
• Experience researching, exploring and solving technical problems.
• Experience with automation and/or programming in any modern language.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical staff

Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with AIX
• Experience supporting PeopleSoft
• Experience supporting Oracle database servers
• Knowledge of version control technologies (such as git)
• Knowledge of configuration management technologies (such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible)
• Experience with virtualization
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts
• Experience with modern web server technologies (such as Apache, tomcat, nginx, etc.)
• Experience supporting technology in a higher education setting
