Schedule: Sunday – Thursday 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Employee should be flexible to work shifts between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM Sunday through Thursday based on clinic needs.  Holidays scheduled on a rotating basis.

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, performs and coordinates clerical work such as examining and evaluating data according to established guidelines requiring knowledge of both assigned and related work areas.   Duties may involve the use of personal computers, computer terminals, and a variety of software and/or conventional office equipment
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Under general supervision perform Radiology scheduling and reception duties. 
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, their families and all UIHC clinics. 
  • Schedule all types of Radiology appointments from providers via phone calls. 
  • Manage outside referrals, inbound faxes and mailings. 
  • Effectively communicate with patients, staff and clinics. 
  • Complete the EPIC Radiant check in process. 
  • Facilitate patient flow through the Radiology clinics and communicate information to the technologists. 
  • Assist and direct patients with health forms. 
  • Handle orders from providers for external Radiology exams to be stored or interpreted. 
  • Perform general clerical duties. 
  • Must have the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a very busy ambulatory clinical setting.

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Any combination of related clerical office experience, related undergraduate education, and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to two years of full-time employment.
Special Qualifications
  • Medical Terminology
  • Public Contact/Customer Service

Desired Qualifications:

  • Six months clinical administrative work preferred. 
  • Demonstrate attention to detail. 
  • Excellent organizational skills desirable. 
  • Excellent communication skills and basic computer skills. 
  • EPIC experience preferred.
