Education Requirement:

  •        A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline or an equivalent combination of education and related experience in technology may also serve to meet these minimum requirements.

 Required Qualifications:

  •      Experience (typically 5 years or more) providing technical support in an information technology environment.
  •      Some management or supervisory experience.
  •      A strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with diverse technical and non-technical staff.  Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  •      Strong troubleshooting experience, with the ability to identify root causes of complex system-wide problems, implement fixes, and prevent issues from recurring.
  •      Experience successfully managing complex projects and initiatives with cross-functional teams, with competing deadlines.
  •      Ability to communicate with, establish, and build healthy working relationships and partnerships with colleagues, faculty, staff and students, vendors, the public, regulatory/governmental agencies, etc.
  •      Demonstrated experience leading and developing people at various levels to strengthen and advance the success of both individuals and teams.

 Desired Qualifications:

  •      Demonstrated track record of success leading change, including role modeling change readiness; managing resistance; building resiliency and successfully guiding others through the structural, cultural, and process aspects of organizational change.
  •      Experience implementing and managing high-complexity campus-scale IT projects and services, experience decommissioning services. Demonstrated dedication to delivering high-quality services.
  •      Demonstrated technical and architectural knowledge and experience in selecting, implementing, and operating complex information technology solutions
  •      Experience with enterprise-level IT service management concepts and/or frameworks.
  •      Experience working with software vendors to apply upgrades and resolve problems, experience managing relationships with vendors.
  •      Experience with one or more of the following instructional technologies: Canvas, Canvas Catalog, Gradescope, Panopto, Turnitin, or Top Hat. 
  •      Experience supporting technology in a higher education environment.
