Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline or an equivalent combination of education and related technical experience in audiovisual or instructional support may also serve to meet these minimum requirements.
  • Experience, one year providing technology support in an information technology/educational environment.
  • Experience installing and supporting AV devices.
  • Experience with Crestron, Extron, or similar AV equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; the ability to explain computing concepts to non-technical staff.
  • Ability to occasionally move and transport equipment up to 50lbs.
  • Proven record of problem solving skills.
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/O365.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with AV control programs and control interfaces.
  • Working experience supporting technology in a higher educational setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Certifications: Infocomm CTS, Infocomm CTS-I or other industry certifications.
  • Knowledge of Construction Project management; understanding of construction drawings, documentation, and change order processes, specifically relating to Division 27.
  • Working experience evaluating new and emerging technologies and their potential applications specific to teaching and learning.
  • Experience working in a Service Call Center with an electronic ticketing system.
