Linux/AIX Systems Administrator
Education Requirement:
A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM), or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience (typically 2-4 years) supporting and managing multiple systems and applications in a large organization.
- Experience working with Unix/Linux supporting server-based applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with automation and/or programming in any modern language (highly desirable).
- Experience with Puppet configuration management (highly desirable).
- Experience with version control technologies (such as git) (highly desirable).
- Experience with AIX.
- Experience supporting PeopleSoft.
- Experience with modern web server technologies (such as Apache, tomcat, nginx, etc.).
- Experience supporting technology in a higher education setting.
