Business Intelligence Developer/Architect – Strategic Initiatives
Education Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Required Qualifications
- Typically, 5-7 years of reporting experience OR Strong experience in SQL with the ability to write complex queries and performance tune.
- Knowledge of data warehouse fundamentals
- Proven track record of researching, organizing, analyzing, and synthesizing data to support effective decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to define system requirements and understand business reporting outcomes.
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as cooperatively with others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong customer service skills
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience working in a healthcare delivery setting with clinical, operational, or financial reporting experience.
- Proficient working knowledge of healthcare delivery/operational workflows and terminology
- Advanced analytical skills necessary for the evaluation of complex data sets
- Epic certifications(s) or experience related but not limited to the following: Cogito Fundamentals, Cogito Tools Administration, Caboodle Data Model, Clarity Data Model, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of analytics and business intelligence platforms (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or other similar tools.)
- Experience working with vendors to define system requirements, integration strategies, and implement interfaces.
- Experience working with technical and non-technical staff to refine and manipulate data.
- Experience providing education, support, and training of new staff members and customers.
